Got a proof-reader for my Cossacks and Tartars game!
I've recently asked my mom, who happened to have a ph.d in english philology and also is a linguist and she agreed to proof-read my game. So the next step for me is to find a illustrator, who would draw some illustrations without any payment(sorry I'm low on the budget) I could only send a hardback version of the game as payment. The final version of the game will be published in pdf format for free:).

Good luck with your project :) Have you asked on Deviant Art? There you can find plenty of artists, and you also get to see their work. Good place to start I think.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Mark
I'm a sometime game designer with an interest in Turkestan/Tartary - I would also be happy to proofread for rules clarity and so on, if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm interested, the more the merrier:). As soon as I finish historical part I'll send you the rough draft- please give me your e-mail:).

ReplyDeleteI would also search for public domain artwork or even photographs. I've seen some silent camera footage of cossacks in Russia before the revolution. I wonder if there were any illustrations done for early printings of Gogol's Cossack Tales?
ReplyDeleteI'd be up for illustrations. I've collaborated with one person on a project so far (Flying Swordsmen). You can see some of my stuff at:
