Summing up the year 2012

Since I'll be off for the New Year's Eve by tomorrow, I think it's high time to post a short summary of this year rpg-wise.

I've run some 30ish games throughout this year, mostly by Skype, some face-to-face. Barbaric Frontier is growing larger, but still I have not published two booklets about it yet. Both of them need a sure amount of editioning.

As for this blog I've written 146 posts this year, which is a suprise for me, since I'm not a very systematic person. I've got 24382 views this year.

As for goals for the New Year, I plan to play more games, finish working on two booklets for the Barbaric Frontier.

Finally, I wish you all a happy New Year!

The 7 games you've run the most

Well, next nerd meme here, this time 7 games I've run the most:

1. Dungeons & Dragons 3.0 and 3.5 edition

This was my go to game during my early teens, the most prosperous time rpg-wise. Mostly ran in the Warhammer setting, some in the Forgotten Realms and few in Greyhawk

2. Dzikie Pola

This one is my true love, since it's set in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the XVIIth century. After some time I've made a d20 conversion. 3 short campaigns and numerous one-offs.

3. Swords & Wizardry Core Rules and White box

This was my gateway to the OSR and retrogaming, 3 few-months long campaigns and one 1.5 year long.

4. Savage Worlds

With this game I've had a very short but passionate affair. 2 campaigns and lots of one-offs. Mostly set in the Star Wars universe and some in sword & sorcery noir homebrew setting.

5. Klanarchia

One of my favourite campaign settings, played two short campaigns using Swords & Wizardry White box. Polish game think of Beowulf starring Christopher Lambert meets oWoD.

6. Monastyr

My favourite dark fantasy Dumas-esque setting, played 1 long campaign and few one-offs using d20 conversion. Another polish game, think o Gemini in the XVII century.

7. Empire of the Petal Throne

One of my current campaigns in hiatus played for more than a year. One player many hirelings vs. Jakallan underworld. Using mix of EPT and S&W White box.

Graphic Inspiration vol. XXVI

Organizations of the Barbaric Frontier cont'd

Princess' Company

Princess company is a small but very brutal band of dwarven misfits and outlaws under the leadership of  Anne "Princess" Holtz(F2,7HP, AC 13, throwing knives, dagger, short sword). Some say she's a bastard daughter of the margrave of Nordmark, others that she's a demon from the darkest pits of hell. Nontheless she's the leader of the most notorious scum ever roaming the Barbaric Frontier. Speaking aloud her name in a tavern make the other people look at you with a suspicion at least. At worst you'll be hanged at the nearest tree being accused of spying for the bitch as she's called among the people.

Anne is a women in her mid-twenties with long black curly hair, slim yet powerful silhouette and a scar goin right through her left eye from forehead to cheek. It is not know how she was aquinted to her dwarven companions, but soon after that she've become their absolutely obeyed leader. The company of Princess consists of 12 dwarves, all misfits and exiles from the Iron Gate Keep.
